Thanks to my supporters!

Friends, Neighbors, Supporters and Citizens of Wilmington,

Thank you for your support and enthusiasm for my campaign.  Last night was a great victory, and I would not have won without the confidence you have placed in me.

I look forward to working hard for ALL our citizens with a caring, common sense and cooperative approach on our City Council.

Many thanks,

Margaret

Thanks to WWAY for this video.  I hope candidate videos help voters make more informed decisions.  Progress does not come from constant disputes and negativity, but from steady progress through collaboration, mutual respect, and creative solutions.

It always helps to have friendly faces at the candidate forums. I hope you will join us for the Green Building Alliance forum on Wednesday, October 12th at 7:00 pm at the Balcony on Dock, 3rd Floor, Roudabush Building at the corner of S. Front and Dock Streets.

This article from the Star News is great and I highly recommend reading it and reminding your friends and neighbors who claim they “only vote in the Presidential elections” why they should reconsider.

I have always asked that my signs be placed, with permission, on private property.
Enthusiastic supporters sometimes place signs in the public right-of-way, and they are eventually removed by city workers.
I believe there should be restrictions that political signs not be displayed until 30 days prior to an election and that they should all be removed within 10 days after an election.  This would tighten up the available time frame for signage display.
Let’s not forget that political signs are a form of free speech and a way to encourage citizens to come to the polls and express their preference in governmental leadership.   They are very expensive and certainly not garbage, as some have erroneously expressed.
